With their excellent teaching (and a lot of patience), I got up during the 4th session, and look forward to moving beyond beginner stage. I booked my lessons directly with them through their site. Their directions to find their location were precise and made it super easy to get to the lesson. I would highly recommend Kite Provo...they were fantastic, taught them how to kiteboarding quickly and safely, while making them laugh and have fun throughout the lesson!

We held a sea... read more urchin and live conch. We also learned about the importance and uniqueness of the mangroves. Heads up you can only do tour during high tide, which changes everyday so look at that or call ahead to plan. If you want to take pictures you must act fast and have a waterproof camera or go pro. We would absolutely go again.

  Jay was awesome! Really took the time to teach me how to maintain control of the kite under strong wind conditions. I would highly recommend. Shout out to Jerry, too.

  3 friends and I went paddleboarding through the mangroves and it was beautiful. We saw tons of turtles and our guides were great!

Knowing what I know now, I... read more would have skipped the first two. I progressed more in 1 day w/Mark at Kite Provo, than the others combined. Mark is not only a great kite-boarder and "natural" teacher, he is a great guy and genuinely enjoys watching you progress! Their process is unique. Because of the water depth, the instructor is out there with you. No shouting from the beach. AND, they can see your form up close to provide great immediate feedback. They are also able to demonstrate for you, right there. You could not design a better location to learn and progress : perfect winds; perfect depth; flat water. Tie that with great instructors, and you not only progress quickly, but have fun doing it!

  Our group had a mixed experience with Kite Provo. The 4 of us were split across two instructors, Alan and Nic. The two folks with Alan had a great time--they... read more thought his instruction was clear, he provided good analogies, and when the kite went in the water, he helped get the kite back up (which was challenging in the limited wind conditions we were facing). They generally had fun. The other two folks struggled significantly more. Nic's instruction was more laissez-faire. He gave high level instructions and we spent 80% of the time with our kite in the water--he'd watch us try again and again with little success to get the kite up out of the water. We ended up ending the 3 hour lesson about an hour early to come back the next day. Overall, I would recommend that people request an experienced instructor and I'd recommend Kite Provo to have people focus on the fun parts of kite surfing before they start teaching the extra-hard parts of it--getting the kite out of the water during low wind. Folks who worked with Alan are interested in returning, the other ones are not.

  BEST Kitesurfing and Mangrove Tour Experience!  - This place deserves more than 5 stars! Both my kids did private lessons over Spring Break with Mati and Julie. They are both high school athletes and have a lot... read more of experience with MANY different kinds instructors and both said they were amazing instructors. The kids ended up going back for privates 2 more days (would have been 3 but there was no wind!) My husband even ended up doing a private with Antek because he was so impressed. All 3 had such a great time. Our biggest regret is not doing lessons the entire week we were in Turks and Caicos. And MY biggest regret is not joining in on the fun. The staff is super friendly. Don't look anywhere else. These folks are the real deal. Also do the Mangrove Tour through Kite Provo. Mark, who is also a kiteboarding instructor, led this tour and it was FANTASTIC!
